Lesotho High School recently hosted its annual Science Day, a vibrant and intellectually charged event designed to celebrate the spirit of scientific discovery, innovation, and critical thinking across all grade levels. Held on campus, the event brought together students from Grades 8 through 11, who actively participated in a variety of activities aimed at nurturing scientific inquiry and creativity. The day featured: Science Quizzes that challenged learners on topics ranging from biology to astronomy Problem-Solving Challenges designed to test teamwork, logic, and real-world application of scientific concepts Student-Led Projects, with impressive presentations from learners showcasing models, experiments, and original ideas that tackled real-world issues Each activity was designed to promote collaboration across grades, encourage independent thinking, and showcase the diverse talents within our student body. From designing water filtration systems to demonstrating chemical reactions and presenting climate change models — our learners proved that the future of science in Lesotho is in capable hands. “Science Day isn’t just about competition; it’s about discovery, learning, and sharing knowledge,” said one of the science faculty members. “It’s always inspiring to watch our students engage so passionately with the scientific process.” The event concluded with a recognition ceremony for the most outstanding projects and quiz teams.
